At Anime Expo, we brought a new service — an augmented reality photo booth — to fans of the “Tales of” series and to help promote the upcoming release of Tales of Crestoria. By wielding real-world props with AR markers on them, the custom software made the props come to life and gave the guest a chance to pose with weapons from the game itself.
After the photo was captured, a QR code appeared on screen. That code represented the guest’s specific photo they just took, so once it was scanned with their phone, it instantly appeared on their device.
